Overview
- Secondary education begins at the age of 11 and ends at the age of 18 (Loo).
- General schools teach around five periods a day, with each subject having a different teacher (Loo).
- Subjects include English, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, and physical education
- Elective classes are also available that either focus on core subjects or students' interests
- Extracurricular activities are encouraged and can include sports, theatre, chest, science projects, and foreign language study (Loo).
- After graduation requirements are met, including the earning of 6 or 7 credits per year, students have the option of either furthering their education or joining the workforce (Loo).
